Open to any U.S. high school senior (relation to Elks member not necessary). 500 awards will be made nationally to graduating seniors this year. Other MVS scholarships will be awarded to residents of Virginia. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need
The National Ice Cream Retailers Association (NICRA) annually sponsors the Bryce Thomson Scholarship Award for full-time or part-time employees of Active members. The Board of Directors of NICRA established the award in 1995, honoring Bryce Thomson, a man whose 55-plus years of commitment to the ice cream industry is unparalleled.
This year, $45,000 will be awarded to applicants who are employees of member stores.
Awarded to a college sophomore or junior for use during the junior or senior year of college and majoring in the study of Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Plant Pathology, Biology, Forestry, Agronomy, Environmental Concerns, City Planning, Land Management and/or allied subjects.
Each week Lexus of Richmond recognizes one outstanding high school senior scholar-athlete. These nominees demonstrate outstanding achievements and hard work in the classroom, in the community and on the field. At the end of the school year, all nominees will be honored at an awards banquet where one outstanding nominee will be selected to receive a $10,000 scholarship.
Graduating senior from Henrico County Public High school who intends to pursue a career in public education (teacher or support personnel). Must demonstrate academic achievement and leadership. Contact school counselor for further information.
Open to all members of DSDI (junior or senior member) who are enrolled as full-time students for the entire academic year in an approved post-secondary educational institution.
Students whose parents have been members of Chesterfield County Farm Bureau for a minimum of one year may submit a 250 word essay on “How I Can Serve My Community.” See high school guidance counselor for application.
Open to Chesterfield graduating seniors with at least a 2.0 GPA. Preference given to Chesterfield County Fair Association members and/or participants in the Chesterfield County Fair.
Open to graduating seniors who demonstrated scholastic achievement, balanced with community service or other extracurricular activities. Applicants must have GPA of 2.5, demonstrate financial need, be a U.S. resident, be a graduate of a participating high school listed on the application, and be pursuing an undergraduate degree. Virginia high schools currently listed are predominantly in Northern Virginia.
