Bailey Family Foundation – College Scholarship

Open to students who have demonstrated scholastic achievement and financial need. Applicants must have GPA of 2.5, demonstrate financial need, be a U.S. resident, be enrolled or accepted to one of the participating schools listed on the application, and be pursuing an undergraduate degree.

 

Ashland Strawberry Faire – Tafi Yourtee Memorial Scholarship

Open to Hanover County graduating seniors from each of the four county high schools planning to major in one of the performing arts.

All Hanover County Scholarship Program recipients are selected by the individual schools. If you are interested in pursuing one of these scholarships, please contact your school’s main office or guidance counselor for more information.

 

Ashland Strawberry Faire – Jay Pace Memorial Scholarship

Open to Hanover County graduating seniors from each of the four county high schools planning to major in journalism.

All Hanover County Scholarship Program recipients are selected by the individual schools. If you are interested in pursuing one of these scholarships, please contact your school’s main office or guidance counselor for more information.

 

 

Ashland Strawberry Faire – Dick Gillis Memorial Scholarship

Open to any student at Randolph-Macon College majoring in Political Science.

How is the Randolph-Macon Scholarship Handled?

The check is taken directly to the College Advancement Department, with a letter explaining the amount and criteria of the scholarship.  The college chooses the recipient, whom they think is qualified.

 

American Association of Candy Technologists – John Kitt Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be attending an accredited 4-year college in North America, majoring in food science, chemical science, biological science or related field, and have a demonstrated interest in confectionery technology.

 

Allen Law Firm – George E. Allen Academic Scholarship

The applicant must be a senior in a Virginia high school headed to a 2 or 4-year college or university, or a technical/trade school.

The applicant should demonstrate good character and high achievement despite obstacles or special challenges.

The applicant should demonstrate academic progress during his or her four years of high school.

 

Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia – Episcopal Church Women – Elise Holladay – Beverley D. Tucker Scholarships

Available to Episcopalians living in the Diocese of Southern Virginia.  The scholarship will provide assistance to men and women for continued education beyond high school in undergraduate study only.

 

Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia – Ridley Foundation Scholarship

The student must be a communicant of the Diocese of Southern Virginia or resident of the Diocese of Southern Virginia or a dependent of an employee of the Diocese or any of its churches. The student must have a 2.5 average for the previous semester.  The student must have a financial need.  Please see the link for more details and requirements.

 

Roothbert Fund Scholarships

Roothbert Fund scholarships are open those in the designated region regardless of sex, age, color, nationality or religious background. While the Fund does not emphasize any particular form of religious practice or worship, it seeks to provide support to persons motivated by spiritual values. The Fund has awarded grants to persons entering a wide range of careers. However, preference will be given to those who can satisfy high scholastic requirements and are considering careers in education. Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) Educational Foundation Scholarships

To be considered for any VSCPA scholarships all applicants must:

  • Have earned at least three credit hours in accounting
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher
  • Be currently enrolled AND enrolled or intend to be enrolled in the Fall 2024 semester to an accredited Virginia college or university with the intent to pursue a CPA license.
  • Be a student member of the Virginia Society of CPAs. Student membership is free.
