Community Foundation – Martha A. Heartwell Scholarship

Open to seniors attending Colonial Heights High School who demonstrate scholastic commitment, financial need, and strong participation in school activities and community services.

 

Community Foundation – Marcus & Edria Kaufman Fund

Open to children of City of Richmond Police Officers who demonstrate academic promise and a commitment to community service.

 

Community Foundation – Lillian Sutherland Clements Memorial Scholarship

Open to seniors attending Dinwiddie High School who demonstrate satisfactory academic achievement, financial need and demonstrated care and concern for others.

 

Richmond Road Runners Club Scholarship Award

The Richmond Road Runners Club has established a scholarship program for Richmond-area high school seniors who have and will represent the beneficial aspects of running as a healthy lifestyle. To be eligible, a student must be: a graduating high school senior who resides or attends school in the Richmond area; accepted at an accredited institution of higher education; and involved in running in some capacity (e.g., as a cross-country or track team member, as a team manager or trainer, a member of a running or track club, or volunteer in a running activity).

 

Community Foundation – Elizabeth Claire Strother Memorial Scholarship

Open to seniors attending Thomas Dale High School in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Applicants must: demonstrate a commitment to school activities; participate in school-sponsored athletics; have a solid academic record; show financial need; and be recommended by a faculty member.

 

Community Foundation – Barry D. Koval Memorial Scholarship

Open to minority students attending a public high school in the Cities of Richmond and Petersburg and the counties of Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico and Powhatan. Applicants must demonstrate: financial need; scholastic commitment and academic promise; and a commitment to serving his or her community.

 

Community Foundation – Joseph H. Jones, Sr. and Vernell W. Jones Scholarship

Open to seniors attending Charles City High School who demonstrate financial need, outstanding commitment to academics, school and community activities, and also a commitment to fellow classmates.

 

Community Foundation – John E. Thomasson Scholarship Fund

Open to African-American or other minority heritage seniors attending Louisa County Public Schools or Fluvanna County Public Schools who demonstrate solid academic work, leadership, personal integrity, and financial need. Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to students who have been admitted to an accredited two-year technical school, four-year Historically Black College or University or the school of their choice. Preference will be given to applicants planning to attend Virginia State University, Hampton University, Virginia Union University, or Norfolk State University.

 

Community Foundation – Holstein Scholarship

Open to seniors attending Colonial Heights or Petersburg public schools who plan to attend a college or university.  Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, community involvement and financial need.

 

Community Foundation – Holliday Family Fund for Scholarships

Open to graduates of Richmond City Public Schools that demonstrate scholastic commitment, academic promise, and financial need to attend an institution of higher learning. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of a 2.8 GPA or higher.
