VA, MD, DE Association of Electric Cooperatives (VMDAEC) Educational Scholarship Foundation Award

Open to high school seniors whose parents/guardians are customer-members of an electric cooperative in Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware.  Applicants must provide evidence of acceptance in a post-high school educational institution or program and demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, and school/community involvement.

 

Community Foundation – Virginia Urology Center Scholarship

Open to seniors graduating from public or private accredited high schools accepted or enrolled in a 2- or 4-year institution of higher learning to study in the fields of medicine and/or science.  Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic work, financial need, and strong participation in school activities and community service.

 

Community Foundation – The Woman’s Club Education Endowment

Open to graduating seniors of a metro-Richmond public/private high school and adult-learners in the metro-Richmond area who are pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited 2- or 4-year college or university, or technical school in the continental U.S.  Applicants must demonstrate strong academic work, financial need, and a commitment to serving his or her community. High school seniors’ academic performance will be based on grades and SAT. Adults will be evaluated on academic achievements and professional accomplishments.

 

Community Foundation – Richmond African-American Scholarship

Open to African-American high school seniors in Richmond City Public School system enrolling in a baccalaureate program at a 4-year college or university.  Must have cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, and demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, leadership qualities and community/civic involvement.

 

Community Foundation – Perry-White Charitable Scholarship

Open to high school graduates of the Hopewell, Prince George, Petersburg, Colonial Heights areas and the following high schools in Chesterfield: Matoaca, Thomas Dale, L.C. Bird, and Meadowbrook. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to good academics, school and community activites, show financial need, and plan on attending either William and Mary, Randolph College, Randolph-Macon College, VCU/MCV School of Pharmacy, UVA or Longwood University.

Open to seniors attending Thomas Dale High School who demonstrate solid academic work, and strong participation in school and community service activities.

 

Community Foundation – P.A. Sorrentino Scholarship

Open to seniors attending Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School in Richmond, VA. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding commitment to academics, focus on future goals, hard work, integrity, and that he or she has taken advantage of the wide variety of opportunities offered at Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School. Financial need will also be considered.

 

Community Foundation – W. J. Blanchet Scholarship

Open to seniors graduating from public or private accredited high school who are accepted or enrolled in a 2- or 4-year institution of higher learning to study in the fields of medicine and/or science. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic work, financial need, and strong participation in school activities and community service.  CANDIDATE WILL BE SELECTED FROM THE POOL OF APPLICANTS FOR TCF VIRGINIA UROLOGY SCHOLARSHIP.

 

Community Foundation – Mary Lou Lukhard Nursing Scholarship

Open to graduating seniors attending public or private high schools in Richmond City, Henrico, Chesterfield, Hanover, Powhatan, Goochland, New Kent and Charles City who is planning to pursue a career in nursing; or an adult in the metro-Richmond area who is training to become a nurse. Applicants must demonstrate strong academic work, financial need, and a commitment to serving his or her community.

 

Community Foundation – Martha A. Heartwell Scholarship

Open to seniors attending Colonial Heights High School who demonstrate scholastic commitment, financial need, and strong participation in school activities and community services.
