Fort Lee Federal Credit Union – Excellence In Leadership Scholarships

Applicants need to be members of the Ft. Lee Federal Credit Union who will attend a two or four year institution for the Collegiate Leadership Awards or technical school for the Career Path Leadership Award.

 

Virginia Association for Teachers of Family & Consumer Sciences – Martha Creighton Scholarship

The applicant must be a graduate of a Virginia high school who is planning to pursue or is pursuing an education in Family and Consumer Sciences or a Family and Consumer Sciences related field.

 

Virginia Association for Teachers of Family & Consumer Sciences – Helen Hopper Scholarship

Available for a high school senior, college student or graduate student majoring in Family Life Education.

 

Virginias Associated Press Broadcasters Scholarship

The Virginias Associated Press Broadcasters Association, comprised of AP member television and radio stations throughout Virginia and West Virginia, is offering two $1500 scholarships this year to students pursuing a degree in broadcast journalism. The students must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at a college or university in Virginia or West Virginia at the time of the application deadline. The VAPB Scholarship Committee will select one student from a West Virginia school and one from a Virginia school among all qualified applications received by the deadline

 

Fary Memorial Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund was established to assist students from rural areas to continue their educational goals.  Applicants must reside in one of the areas specified.  A 3.5 minimum GPA is required. Leadership, community service, honors and awards along with three letters of recommendation and an essay will also be considered.

 

Richmond Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Richmond Section Scholarship

This scholarship is open to women entering the field of engineering or computer science.  The applicant must be a female in the Richmond area who has been accepted at an ABET accredited school.  She should be entering her first year of college/university.

 

Holman Middle School PTA Scholarship

Applicant must have attended Holman Middle School for at least one year and be a graduating high school senior who is well rounded and demonstrates positive character traits.  Contact high school guidance counselor for further details.

 

James 2:26 Fund

The James 2:26 Fund Scholarship is a last-dollar scholarship for students seeking a bachelor’s degree at a public college or university located in Virginia with a preference for students living in public or subsidized housing. To the extent possible, this scholarship will cover the cost of tuition, fees, room and board, books and supplies not covered by other grants and scholarships the student receives. Recipients are required to live on campus for their first year of attendance if such housing is available.

Adrian Ryan Kirk Memorial Scholarship

The Adrian Ryan Kirk Memorial Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors with ADD, ADHD and learning disabilities who strive to overcome their disability and attend college or vocational school.  This award is merit-based; financial need is not a factor.

 

The Community Foundation (TCF) Scholarships

The Community Foundation strives to provide a stronger and more vibrant Central Virginia region.  Approximately 65 scholarships are administered through TCF to promote educational enhancement in this area.  Click on link to access individual scholarship information.
