Open to Hanover County residents, with preference given to Mechanicsville High School graduates.

Open to residents of Isle of Wight or Surry County or City of Suffolk and majoring in an agricultural-related field.

 

Michael Birchenall Scholarship Fund

Eligibility Criteria
–     Resident of Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia or Delaware
–     High school senior or college student
–     Must be pursuing hospitality related coursework
–     Interviews may be required of finalists

This competitive scholarship is awarded to students interested in pursuing culinary, foodservice, or hospitality-related coursework. It is available to high school seniors and current college students.

Open to Mechanicsville High School graduates accepted to a 4-year college/university with a minimum GPA of 2.5.

This is a nominated scholarship, please reach out to your school counselor for more information.

 

Henrico Education Foundation – Lucia Whalen Bremer Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Senior who attended Quioccasin Middle School for at least one year.

Open to Dinwiddie County residents pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Forestry or Life Sciences.  Preference given to Farm Bureau members and applicants with a higher GPA.

Open to students residing in Essex County, with preference given to students majoring in any area of law.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – Dale Godwin Memorial Endowment

Open to Mechanicsville High School graduating seniors with a minimum of 4 years participating in sports (school or youth sports).

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – Jimmie Hill Memorial Endowment

Open to Mechanicsville High School graduating seniors planning to attend a 4-year state-supported Virginia college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.5.

 

Virginia War Memorial Foundation – Marocchi Memorial College Scholarship

In memory of Rear Admiral John Marocchi, a scholarship has been created to encourage and enable motivated individuals who are enrolled in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) at a Virginia school of higher education.

You must meet the following criteria when submitting your application package:
1. Be currently enrolled full-time at a Virginia college or university, AND currently enrolled
in an ROTC program at that school (any branch).
2. Have graduated from a Virginia High School or otherwise able to indicate status as a
Virginian prior to beginning college.
3. Be a US citizen or permanent resident at the time of application.
4. Possess a minimum GPA of 2.75

Open to New Kent County graduating seniors pursuing a degree in agriculture, forestry, or education. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Open to King and Queen County residents.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – Virginia State University Endowment by VSU College of Agriculture Alumni Association

Open to students attending College of Agriculture at Virginia State University.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – Virginia Society of Agricultural and Rural Professionals

Must be a resident of Colonial Association territory in Virginia.  Open to students attending Virginia Tech majoring in Agriculture and Applied Economics; based on financial need and GPA.

 

Argent Credit Union – Rose E. Baggerly Rising Leaders Scholarship

The Rose E. Baggerly Scholarship was created to honor Rose’s many years of dedication to the credit union and its members.   Her commitment to the membership extended beyond the credit union walls, and she served in many volunteer and leadership capacities for organizations dedicated to the credit union movement in Virginia.

Argent Credit Union is excited to be able to hand-select one very deserving high school senior who will receive a $2,500 scholarship towards their college education.

 

Virginia Head Start Alumni Scholarship

The Virginia Head Start Alumni High School Senior Scholarship is open to high school seniors who were former Virginia Head Start students. He or she must plan to pursue post-secondary education at an accredited two or four-year college or technical school.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – Upper King and Queen Ruritan Club

Open to students residing in King and Queen County OR a child of any member of Upper King and Queen Ruritan Club if not living in King and Queen County.

Open to students residing in Dinwiddie County.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – Roger Gregory, Jr. and Emma E. Gregory Memorial Endowment by Friends of the Gregorys

Open to residents of Charles City, New Kent or King William Counties pursuing a college education to study agriculture, forestry or environmental science. Preference given to previous recipient of this award.

Open to Mechanicsville High School graduating seniors attending a 4-year college/university who lettered in 2 or more sports.
