Qualifications:
• Has met with a Great Aspirations Scholarship Program, Inc. (GRASP) advisor and filed a Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
• Will graduate from an RVA region* high school in spring of 2024.
• Will attend a four-year college or university, community college, or junior college in the upcoming
academic year.
• Demonstrates unmet financial need (A college financial aid award letter will be requested before
scholarship is granted.)
• Has participated in a school or community athletic sport during high school.
Open to seniors or graduates of Prince George High School or seniors attending Appomattox Regional Governor’s School or Maggie Walker Governor’s School who would have attended Prince George High School. In memory of Rear Admiral John Marocchi, a scholarship has been created to encourage and enable motivated individuals who plan to enroll in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) at a Virginia school of higher education.
You must meet the following criteria when submitting your application package:
1. Be a current student in the senior class of an accredited public or private high school or
homeschool program in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
2. Be planning to pursue a program of study in an ROTC program at a Virginia college or
university that will lead to a career in the US Military Service.
3. Be a US citizen or permanent resident at the time of application.
4. Possess an unweighted minimum GPA of 2.75

Scholarship awards will be made to residents of public and other assisted housing in the Commonwealth of Virginia who have maintained their residence for six months prior to January 10, 2024. All applicants must graduate no later than June 30, 2024. Funds are to be utilized beginning with the Fall Semester 2024 school year. Finalists and the grantees will be selected by the Scholarship Committee of the Association.
