Open to seniors attending a state-accredited public high school in metropolitan Richmond or the Tri-Cities area. Applicants must demonstrate sound academic work, financial need, participation in track and field, and involvement in school activities and community service.

Open to seniors in Louisa County schools who demonstrate solid academic work, financial need, and strong participation in school and community service activities. Preference may be given to applicants planning to attend University of Virginia, James Madison University, The College of William & Mary, Mary Washington University, and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Open to graduates of Thomas Dale High School in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The recipient of the scholarship will be the student who has contributed the most to the community during their high school years. Academic work and participation in school activities will also be considered.

The Central Virginia Scholarship Program was established in 1993 by anonymous donors concerned with metropolitan Richmond’s outstanding students who are unable to attend the colleges of their choice because of cost. The program realizes that private colleges are often more expensive than public universities. The intent of this scholarship is to help to bridge the gap for worthy students whose preference is to attend private institutions.

Open to seniors attending Douglas Freeman High School, Hermitage High School, J.R. Tucker High School or Glen Allen High School.  Applicants must demonstrate outstanding commitment to academics, school and community activities, and also a commitment to fellow classmates; and be a candidate for high school graduation at the end of the current academic year, and plan to enroll in an accredited four-year college or university in the continental United States the following academic year.

Open to students who attend First Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia, wherever they may choose to attend college, OR students from the Richmond area who plan to attend Averett University in Danville, Virginia. Applicants judged on: academic performance; commitment to and involvement in extracurricular and community service activities; financial need; and response to personal statement.

Open to seniors attending a state-accredited high school in Richmond City or Henrico, Chesterfield, Hanover or King and Queen counties. Applicants must: demonstrate outstanding academic work and financial need; be a candidate for high school graduation at the end of the current academic year and plan to enroll in an accredited two year or four-year college or university in the continental United States the following academic year; and intend to pursue a major in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration.

Supports qualifying graduates of Thomas Dale High School or Carver College & Career Academy which was formerly Chesterfield Community High School. The recipient of the scholarship will be the student who has shown the ability to capitalize on hidden potential. Applicants must show: demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles that could influence academic performance and ability to capitalize on hidden potential based on personal statement; academic achievement based on grade point average and SAT scores; and extracurricular activities and involvement in the community.

Supports adult learners in Central Virginia who are pursuing a career in health care and are in need of financial support.  For the purposes of this scholarship, adult learners are defined as individuals who have completed high school but did not immediately pursue post-secondary education, or individuals who completed high school and earned a post-secondary degree, but have opted to return to school to pursue an alternative course of study.  Eligible applicants must be 21 years of age or older. Applicants judged on: academic performance; commitment to and involvement in extracurricular and community service activities; financial need; and interest in pursuing a post-secondary degree in a health care field.

Supports qualifying graduates of Prince George, Southampton, Surry and Sussex County public/private high schools and Tidewater Academy.   The recipient of the scholarship will be a well-rounded individual who participates fully in activities in school, his/her faith based community, and his/her local community. Applicants judged on: academic performance; commitment to and involvement in extracurricular and community service activities; financial need; and response to essay question.
