Applicant should be a member or dependent of a member of the Virginia Grain Producers Association or an employee or dependent of an employee of at least one year of a producer member of this association.

To be eligible one must have a minimum of three years membership in the Henrico 4H program.

Must reside in Colonial Farm Credit territory and major in ag-related field or come from a farming background.

Must be a resident of Colonial Farm Credit’s chartered lending territory with an agricultural background who will major in an agricultural related field.

This scholarship will be awarded to a public or private high school senior who has a diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum, verified by an IEP, a 504 Plan, or confirmation from a special education teacher.  The student must demonstrate scholastic commitment and academic promise, and plan to enroll in an accredited college or university or a community college in the US.

A personal statement is required.

Specifically for students interested in teaching and pursuing a career with Henrico County Public Schools after graduating college. HCPS wants to fill positions in areas where there is a critical shortage, including Spanish, Math, Exceptional Education, Science, Technology and Family & Consumer Sciences.  Contact high school counselor for additional details.

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior and a member of the Virginia Wrestling Association.  The student must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, community commitment and financial need.

Contest Overview

High school students in Virginia are invited to honor outstanding African Americans by participating in Dominion Energy and the Library of Virginia’s Strong Men & Women in Virginia History student contest. This year’s contest is built around the inquiry process of project-based learning and is designed to hit grade-specific standards through a multidisciplinary approach. Students will use and develop creative and critical thinking skills as they clearly communicate contemporary issues that concern them. Finalists will receive an Apple MacBook Air and $1,000 for their schools.

CRITERIA:
1) Applicant must be a current graduating high school senior.
2) Applicant must have maintained a “C” or higher GPA.
3) Applicant must have been accepted to an accredited college/university or technical college. A
copy of the acceptance letter must be included in the application packet.
4) Applicant must submit a letter stating why he/she is deserving of the award. Letter must be
typed (not handwritten).
5) Applicant must submit a sealed official high school transcript.
6) Applicant must complete the Ernestine Batts Scholarship Award application.

Hanover County high school senior with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Exhibiting strong leadership skills, citizenship skills and demonstrated a strong work ethic.
