Headwaters Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) Scholarship

The Headwaters Soil & Water Conservation District Scholarship guidelines/criteria allow full-time students who have applied to a college undergraduate level curriculum to apply for the SWCD Scholarship Program. These scholarships are offered to graduating high school students as well as college students. Preference may be given to applicants who have not previously received a Headwaters SWCD scholarship.  Eligible applicants
must reside or attend school within the boundaries of the Headwaters SWCD (Augusta County, the City of
Staunton, or the City of Waynesboro).

Recipients are selected based on various criteria including: academic achievement, school and community involvement, interest in natural resources conservation, as well as financial need.

The District also screens applications and selects one application to forward on to the Virginia Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (VASWCD) for consideration for one of the available VASWCD Educational Foundation, Inc. Scholarships.
