Open to seniors attending Hopewell High School pursuing college education in any course of study who demonstrates scholastic achievement, participation in the community and financial need. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

 

John Randolph Foundation – Hopewell Retired Teachers Assoc., Charles W. Smith Memorial Scholarship

Open to seniors attending Hopewell High School or a senior attending Appomattox Regional Governor’s School or Maggie Walker Governor’s School who is a resident of Hopewell who are pursuing a career as an educator and demonstrates financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or better.

 

John Randolph Foundation – AdvanSix STEM Scholarship

Open to residents of selected cities in Virginia pursuing an education in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related field who can demonstrate financial need and academic achievement.  Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Must be attending or planning to attend college as a full-time or part-time undergraduate.

Open to students pursuing a degree in a nursing undergraduate or graduate program. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and have a GPA of 3.0 or better.

Open to seniors attending Prince George High School planning to attend an institution of higher education. Applicants must academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, financial need and desire, and have a GPA of 2.5 or better.

Open to seniors or graduates of Prince George High School or seniors attending Appomattox Regional Governor’s School or Maggie Walker Governor’s School who would have attended Prince George High School. Must be pursuing a career as an educator and demonstrate financial need, academic achievement and community involvement.

 

John Randolph Foundation – Bobby Owen Memorial Scholarship

Open to residents of selected cities in Virginia pursuing a course of study or receiving appropriate training as a full- or part-time fire fighter, police officer or emergency medical provider; OR currently volunteering or has volunteered as such in the past, OR a dependent of a full- or part-time fire fighter, police officer or emergency medical provider. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and have a GPA of 3.0 or better.

 

John Randolph Foundation – Anderson Blevins and Thelma Hammond Memorial Scholarship

Open to residents of selected cities in Virginia planning to attend institutions of higher education. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, academic achievement and desire, and have a GPA of 3.0 or better.

 

Hanover-Caroline Soil & Water Conservation District

Open to college-bound students who plan to pursue studies in natural resource conservation, environmental science and/or agriculture.  Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.    Contact school counselor for further information.

 

Greater Richmond Relocation Council Scholarships

Open to high school seniors that were relocated to the Richmond area (including City of Richmond, Hanover, Henrico, Chesterfield, Goochland, Powhatan)  between 9th and 12th grade.  Applicants are evaluated on academic performance, standard test scores, extra-curricular activities, and an essay addressing the way they handled the challenges associated with relocating to a new high school.

 

Grand Lodge of Virginia Scholarship Program

Open to Virginia students, who are selected based on: academic achievement, class rank, standardized test scores, participation in high school, church or synagogue activities, as well as the quality of application essays, and a demonstrated financial need.

 

Argent Credit Union – Ruby Robinson Youth Scholarship

Open to high school seniors who are active Argent members by September 1 of the year before the application deadline and meet account holder eligibility requirements as outlined in the application.  Applicants must have a GPA of 2.8 or higher; demonstrate strong interest and leadership skills in extracurricular activities and community service organizations and write an essay of 250-500 words each on a subject listed on website.
