Pearson’s Corner PTA Scholarship

The scholarship is open to all senior students in Hanover County that attended PCES. Applicant must be
planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college/university or technical school after
graduation. The funds will be sent directly to the recipient’s school.

 

Virginia Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts (VASWCD) Annual Conservation Poster Contest

The annual Conservation Poster Contest provides kindergarten through twelfth grade students an opportunity to convey their thoughts about soil, water and related natural resource issues through art. It also highlights the educational outreach efforts of conservation districts and their state conservation associations, auxiliaries and agencies. The poster contest theme follows the annual NACD Stewardship theme.

The contest is open to public, private or home school students, girl scout/boy scout troops, etc.

 

 

Henrico Education Foundation – David A. Kaechele Memorial Scholarship

The David A Kaechele Memorial Scholarship Fund is presented by the Henrico Education Foundation in memory of Henrico Supervisor David A Kaechele. The funds may be used for tuition, books or other school related costs and will be paid directly to the educational institution. Applicants must be enrolled in Henrico County Public Schools and have attended Kaechele Elementary School for at least one year, and possess a minimum GPA of 3.0.

 

Battlefield Park Elementary School – Dorsey G. Smith, III Scholarship

Scholarship offered to students who attended BPES and will be graduating from one of the four Hanover County High Schools. Requirements include:  application, transcript showing GPA of 2.5 or higher, two written recommendations, and an essay.  Contact high school guidance counselor for application.

 

Mechanicsville Elementary PTA Cardinal Scholarship Program

Scholarships will be awarded to two students who previously attended Mechanicsville Elementary for at least three years.  High school seniors who attend any one of the four Hanover County high schools may apply.  Parent or guardian membership of a Hanover PTA is required, as well as a 3.0 or higher GPA.

 

Laurel Meadow Elementary School PTA – Karen R. Carpenter Scholarship

Applicant must have completed elementary school at Laurel Meadow and attend one of the four Hanover County high schools, Maggie Walker Governor’s School, the Center for Trades and Technology or the Georgetown School.   

 

Kersey Creek ES PTA Alumni Scholarship

Applicant must have attended Kersey Creek Elementary School.  The applicant must be planning to attend a college/university or technical school in the fall and have at least a 3.0 GPA.  Applicant must be a member of the PTSA and have a parent that is also a member.  An essay is required.

 

Enon Elementary – Beth Molter Scholarship

This scholarship is in honor of former Enon alumnus and teacher, Beth Molter.  Applicant must be a former Enon student planning to attend college.  An essay is required.

 

Skipwith Elementary School – William E. Harding Scholarships

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to high school seniors who attended Skipwith Elementary for a least one year.  Must have financial need.  Contact high school counselor for information.

 

Enon Elementary School PTO Scholarship

Must be a senior who went to Enon Elementary and is graduating from a Chesterfield County high school.  Essay required.  Contact high school guidance counselor for further details.

 

Twin Hickory Elementary School – The McNeice/Vaughan Trailblazers In Education Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, one must have attended Twin Hickory Elementary School for at least one full school year and have an interest in majoring in education.  A teacher recommendation is required. GPA, extracurricular activities and community involvement may be considered.  Contact high school guidance counselor for more information.

 

Pemberton Elementary School – A.P. Hall Scholarship

Eligibility: The scholarship is open to former Pemberton Elementary School
students who will graduate from a Henrico County Public School or Maggie L.
Walker Governor’s School.
Requirements:
● Completed Pemberton A.P. Hall Scholarship Application, including
resume, copy of transcript, essay and letter of recommendation.
● Minimum GPA: 3.0
● Minimum SAT score: 900

 

Maybeury Elementary School Scholarship

Applicant must have attended Maybeury Elementary School for at least 1 year.  Contact high school guidance counselor for additional criteria and application.

Must have attended Rivers Edge ES for at least 2 years, possess good character, citizenship and be involved in community service.  Contact high school guidance counselor for application.

 

Henry D. Ward Elementary School Scholarship

Must have previously attended Henry D. Ward Elementary and are now graduating from a Henrico County public high school.  Selection will be based on high school transcript, written reponse, and financial need.  Contact high school guidance counselor for more details.

 

Shady Grove Elementary PTA – Thomas B. Fernald Scholarship

Are you a high school senior who attended Shady Grove Elementary School? Have you been an active volunteer? You may be eligible to apply for the Thomas B. Fernald Scholarship. Additional criteria include a record of community service, a well-rounded individual, an overall good student and a person of good character.   

 

Bettie Weaver Elementary School PTA Scholarship

The PTA of Bettie Weaver Elementary School (BWE) has established a scholarship grant to a college-bound graduating senior. Open to any college-bound graduating senior who attended Bettie Weaver Elementary School for all or part of elementary school.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate respect and awareness for the environment and the local community, as
evidenced by active volunteer involvement. In addition, the candidate should possess exemplary personal
characteristics: honesty, courtesy, responsibility, empathy, tolerance, and respect for others.
