Open to any student at Randolph-Macon College majoring in Political Science.

How is the Randolph-Macon Scholarship Handled?

The check is taken directly to the College Advancement Department, with a letter explaining the amount and criteria of the scholarship.  The college chooses the recipient, whom they think is qualified.

 

American Association of Candy Technologists – John Kitt Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be attending an accredited 4-year college in North America, majoring in food science, chemical science, biological science or related field, and have a demonstrated interest in confectionery technology.

 

Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia – Episcopal Church Women – Elise Holladay – Beverley D. Tucker Scholarships

Available to Episcopalians living in the Diocese of Southern Virginia.  The scholarship will provide assistance to men and women for continued education beyond high school in undergraduate study only.

 

Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia – Ridley Foundation Scholarship

The student must be a communicant of the Diocese of Southern Virginia or resident of the Diocese of Southern Virginia or a dependent of an employee of the Diocese or any of its churches. The student must have a 2.5 average for the previous semester.  The student must have a financial need.  Please see the link for more details and requirements.

 

Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) Educational Foundation Scholarships

To be considered for any VSCPA scholarships all applicants must:

  • Have earned at least three credit hours in accounting
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher
  • Be currently enrolled AND enrolled or intend to be enrolled in the Fall 2025 semester to an accredited Virginia college or university with the intent to pursue a CPA license.
  • Be a student member of the Virginia Society of CPAs. Student membership is free.

 

Mary Marshall Nursing Scholarship for Registered Nurses

To be considered for a Mary Marshall Nursing Scholarship, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

1.  Residency in VA for at least 1 year,

2.  Enrollment or acceptance to VA nursing school RN program,

3.  Maintain a 2.5 GPA in required courses,

4.  Demonstrate financial need

 

 

Mary Marshall Nursing Scholarship for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)

To be considered for a Mary Marshall Nursing Scholarship, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

1. Residency in VA for at least 1 year,

2.  enrollment or acceptance to Virginia nursing school LPN program,

3.   Maintain a 2.5 GPA in required courses

4.  Demonstrate financial need

 

John Randolph Foundation – Woman’s Club of Hopewell Scholarship

Open to residents of Residents of: Carson, Chester, Chesterfield, Colonial Heights, Disputanta, Hopewell, Prince George
Attends: Hopewell High School, Lloyd C. Bird High School, Prince George High School, Thomas Dale High School pursuing college education in any course of study who demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular activities and desire. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

 

John Randolph Foundation – Talegaonkar Medical Scholarship

Open to to residents of the City of Hopewell, Prince George County, and the Enon District of Chesterfield County attending or planning to attend a Virginia college as a full-or part-time undergraduate or graduate student majoring in one of the traditional basic sciences, including but not limited to chemistry, biology, physics, or biochemical engineering or pursuing the requisite course of study for medical school or nursing school. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

 

John Randolph Foundation – Sylvia Slominski Nursing Scholarship

Open to to residents of Petersburg, Hopewell, Colonial Heights, Prince George and Chesterfield counties and students who may not reside in these areas, but attend L.C. Bird High School or Cosby High School Health Sciences Specialty Center. Applicants must be pursuing a degree as a Registered Nurse (RN), be enrolled full- or part-time in a nursing undergraduate or graduate program, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

 

John Randolph Foundation – Rotary Club of Petersburg (Luncheon) Scholarship

The primary purpose of the Fund shall be to provide scholarships. Strong preference will be given to seniors or graduates of Petersburg High School, Appomattox Regional Governor’s School and Maggie L.Walker Governor’s School who are/were registered at Petersburg High School. Consideration may also be given to seniors attending high schools in the John Randolph Foundation service area. This scholarship is for students pursuing any course of study and attending John Tyler Community College, Richard Bland College, Southside Regional Medical School of Nursing and Radiation Sciences or Virginia State University. Student interns working for John Randolph Foundation are eligible to apply. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in high school or 2.5 in college.

 

John Randolph Foundation – Louis and Ursula Sue Gibbs Annual Scholarship

Open to residents of selected cities in Virginia pursuing college education in any course of study. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular activities and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation Scholarships

Open to residents of CAEF’s territory listed in the link below.  Many of the scholarships are for those majoring in agriculture, forestry, environmental science or a like discipline, however, there are some additional offerings open to those with other interests.  Only one application is required to apply for multiple CAEF scholarships. 

 

John Randolph Foundation – John, Shanda and Doreatha Jackson Scholarship

Open to students attending or who have graduated from Petersburg High School, Prince George High School and Hopewell High School pursuing college education in any course of study and who demonstrates financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular activities and desire.  Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

 

John Randolph Foundation – Joan Glascock Skaggs Nursing Scholarship

Open to residents of selected cities in Virginia pursuing a degree in nursing. Applicants must be attending or planning to attend college as a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student in the nursing field and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

 

John Randolph Foundation – AdvanSix STEM Scholarship

Open to residents of selected cities in Virginia pursuing an education in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related field who can demonstrate financial need and academic achievement.  Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Must be attending or planning to attend college as a full-time or part-time undergraduate.

 

 

John Randolph Foundation – Gregg E. Hosack Scholarship

Open to residents of selected cities in Virginia pursuing any course of study at an institution for higher learning who demonstrate financial need, academic achievement and desire. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or better.

 

John Randolph Foundation – Genevieve Renn Roscher Nursing Scholarship

Open to students pursuing a degree in a nursing undergraduate or graduate program. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and have a GPA of 3.0 or better.

 

John Randolph Foundation – Edna Trader Cain Scholarship

Open to seniors or graduates of Prince George High School or seniors attending Appomattox Regional Governor’s School or Maggie Walker Governor’s School who would have attended Prince George High School. Must be pursuing a career as an educator and demonstrate financial need, academic achievement and community involvement.

 

John Randolph Foundation – Bobby Owen Memorial Scholarship

Open to residents of selected cities in Virginia pursuing a course of study or receiving appropriate training as a full- or part-time fire fighter, police officer or emergency medical provider; OR currently volunteering or has volunteered as such in the past, OR a dependent of a full- or part-time fire fighter, police officer or emergency medical provider. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and have a GPA of 3.0 or better.

 

John Randolph Foundation – Anderson Blevins and Thelma Hammond Memorial Scholarship

Open to residents of selected cities in Virginia planning to attend institutions of higher education. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, academic achievement and desire, and have a GPA of 3.0 or better.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – Virginia State University Endowment by VSU College of Agriculture Alumni Association

Open to students attending College of Agriculture at Virginia State University.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – Virginia Society of Agricultural and Rural Professionals

Must be a resident of Colonial Association territory in Virginia.  Open to students attending Virginia Tech majoring in Agriculture and Applied Economics; based on financial need and GPA.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – Upper King and Queen Ruritan Club

Open to students residing in King and Queen County OR a child of any member of Upper King and Queen Ruritan Club if not living in King and Queen County.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – T.O. Rainey Memorial Endowment

Open to students residing in Dinwiddie County.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – Roger Gregory, Jr. and Emma E. Gregory Memorial Endowment by Friends of the Gregorys

Open to residents of Charles City, New Kent or King William Counties pursuing a college education to study agriculture, forestry or environmental science. Preference given to previous recipient of this award.

Open to King and Queen County residents.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – Paul E. Mullinex Memorial Endowment

Open to students with a minimum of 3 years membership in the Henrico County 4-H.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – Pat Borkey Memorial Endowment

Open to Mechanicsville High School graduates, with preference given to applicants majoring in some field of science.

 

Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation – James E. Lowe Memorial

Open to Hanover County residents majoring in Agriculture, Life Science or Forestry.
