Hanover County PTA Senior Scholarship Opportunity: “Spirit of Volunteerism”
Criteria:
a. List the community service organizations to which you belong to and/or volunteered
for in high school, dates and numbers of hours you have contributed per month. Please include a point
of contact for each activity/organization.
b. Provide a 400–500-word essay describing your community service and how it impacts
others. Please provide a rational for how this volunteer work will influence your future educational
pursuits in college or trade school.
c. Provide a letter of recommendation from someone (teacher/staff, principal, coach,
mentor, community leader) who can attest to your service to your school, community, etc.
d. Please provide a copy of your high school transcript.
**To be eligible, a senior or their parent must be a member of a Hanover County PTA/PTSA. **
