Scholarships

In 1996-97 Hanover County Public Schools, supported by a grant from the Virginia Department of Education, began a program called Serve & Learn. The program’s purpose was to encourage and acknowledge the importance of volunteer service to the community. With the goal of annually rewarding the community service commitments of Hanover students, the Serve & Learn program, now sponsored by Hanover Education Foundation, awards a $1,000 scholarship to ONE senior in each high school who successfully fulfills a 100-hour commitment to community service in ONE location commencing in sophomore year.  Contact guidance counselor for more information.
